Course Introduction

The course "Theme Module Design 1 Smart Travel" focuses on intelligent transportation and future travel experience, aiming to cultivate students' ability to combine multidisciplinary knowledge in the design process and explore how to improve the user experience of transportation vehicles and travel systems through innovative design methods. With the development of global intelligent technology, traditional transportation modes are shifting towards intelligence, personalization, and greenness. This course is designed to adapt to this trend and help students understand and apply relevant technologies and design strategies. The focus of the course teaching is on the primary industrial design stage of early design, aiming to help students master the design foundation in the field of intelligent transportation, especially the appearance, functionality, and user experience in the early stage. The course starts from the basic concepts of industrial design and helps students understand the key elements of modern industrial design, including form, structure, functional layout, and human-computer interaction design. Students will master how to combine the basic principles of industrial design with the technological trends of intelligent transportation during the learning process, and initially form During the teaching process, the course emphasizes the design thinking and practice in the primary industrial design stage, including how to conduct research, analyze users, speculate on concepts in the early design stage, and how to guide design ideas through sketches, models, and prototype development. These contents will help students design the startup with basic functions from scratch, such as the appearance and structure design of smart bicycles and autonomous vehicle. Students will deepen their understanding of preliminary design by learning basic industrial design methods such as form research, preliminary vehicle layout, material application, intelligent cockpit experience, and preliminary design, and understanding basic engineering and manufacturing processes. At the same time, the course will also promote students to start from preliminary design concepts and gradually establish a complete product framework through case analysis and practical design projects. The teaching focus of this course is to provide students with tools and methods for primary industrial design, helping them lay a solid foundation for future in-depth design and development in the field of intelligent transportation.
