Course Introduction

Probability and statistic B is a major survey course for undergraduates majoring in economics, management and other social sciences, and is the foundation of many subsequent professional courses. This course mainly includes random events and probability, random variables and their probability distribution, random vector and its probability distribution, digital characteristics of the random variable, law of large numbers and central limit theorem, the basic concept of mathematical statistics, parameter estimation, etc. Aiming at the knowledge and ability, the goal of the course is to know the main problem in the theory of probability and mathematical statistics, to understand the importance of random variables and their probability distributions in probability theory, and know the digital features of random variables, the law of large numbers and central limit theorem , familiar with common types of distribution and their practical application; familiar with parameter estimation.
