Course Introduction

"Design Quality and Management" is a new elective course for industrial design students in the autumn semester of the fourth grade under the new training program. It aims to provide graduates who are about to enter the industry practice with knowledge popularization of industrialization, standardization and whole production process, as well as experience and methods related to enterprise innovation, design management and professional ethics. Improve the professional quality of design students, and further deepen the training of students to achieve a more scientific and systematic industrial design analysis and design innovation ability by thinking about product quality and whole process design management. In the part of design management, based on students' previous design professional foundation and practical experience, this course mainly includes the basic concepts and concepts of design management and design ecology, design strategy planning and management at the enterprise level, design management and execution at the project level, human resources, design creativity, budget and customer resource management, etc. Students need to understand the social responsibility and vision of design and design management, understand the role and significance of design management internally and externally, and master the methods of design project and resource management. Through the study of this course, students majoring in design can develop their sense of social responsibility, professional and industrial design management consciousness, business consciousness, teamwork and management ability, and improve their research and management ability to organize, plan, analyze and solve problems when they encounter practical problems. In the part of design quality, the course focuses on the three core contents of "quality", "standardization" and "measurement and testing". The knowledge points involved include the basic concept of quality, the environmental technology system of quality, the birth process of standards, the certification method and development process of product quality, the types of quality service market institutions, and the standards and technologies of daily products quality testing. Depending on the schedule, the course may include a field trip to a provincial professional quality inspection and testing institution.
