Course Introduction

This course is an advanced design practice professional programme for the ‘Smart Health’ unit. The course adopts a project-based teaching method and is jointly taught by several teachers, organizing students to carry out innovative design practice around real design problems in the current health and medical industry. Lectures, design evaluations and other teaching sessions will be held with the participation of external industry experts or company representatives. At the end of the course, an exhibition will be held to showcase the students' design achievements. Through this course, students will carry out and practice the design process from real and concrete design problems, master the typical design methods and tools of the relevant thematic areas, accumulate relevant design experience, and cultivate the ability of discovery, definition, development and delivery required to complete the relevant design issues, laying a foundation for the subsequent graduation design as well as future design research and practice.
