Course Introduction

In the process of globalization and development with Chinese characteristics, in the critical period of industrial restructuring and transformation, how to create an innovative ecology driven by data, intelligent production, and integrated mass creation? It is necessary to cultivate future-oriented, comprehensive talents with system design, critical thinking, participatory design, collaborative design, and transformation design to support the balanced development of culture and industry in the process of regional revitalization. The design discipline will accelerate the integration of multiple disciplines and play a key role in various fields and industries of society, economy, and production. In view of the above goals, this course aims to explore the theory and practice of design thinking, service design, and system innovation in promoting industrial transformation and upgrading, and help undergraduate students majoring in product design (digital cultural innovation) understand how to reimagine products, services, and even the entire industrial ecology through interdisciplinary design methods. The course will be carried out from multiple angles from theoretical explanations, case analysis to practical projects, focusing on national and provincial conditions analysis, industrial chain and industrial map, industry status data analysis, design participation system, and future development trend analysis, etc., to cultivate students' ability to diagnose problems and design solutions from the perspective of user experience, service system, and system, and then grow into compound talents to promote social innovation and industrial upgrading.
